I've had the Fender Mustang II amp for about 2 months now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. When I was 14 (a long time ago) I used to walk into the "rack room" at the instrument store. If I wanted to do then what I can do now with a Mustang II and a laptop I would've needed about $5K and some serious floor space...no joke!

I've found some really cool amp setups from Fender's online Fuse community. I haven't submitted any of my own yet, though. I've been working on trying to get a Boston circa '86 Rockman sound.

I have the Mustang I. The FUSE software is really cool and fun to use. I love the Fender amp sounds, and being able to combine different amps with different speaker configurations.

I picked up a Mustang IV about two weeks ago. Loving the sounds I can get out of it, especially when expanded with the Fuse software.

It's one of the best beginner amps with really cool features. In year 2012 mustang amps come with free FUSE software for sound modeling and free Ableton live 8 (or 9) dj software for creating and recording own music. Really cool gear by fender:)

Did any of you with the Fender Mustang figure out how to record with the included software? I couldn't, but still love my amp.

Yeah, you're right about the cost compared to years ago. The variety of sounds (and quality) you can get for a few hundred dollars would have cost thousands when I was a kid. They're a bargain; no doubt about it. Run them through a decent cabinet, and they damn good.
