Seems to bee good middle class guitar for practice and live performance. I'm sure it'll be good. Of course any guitar for 1000$ will be a lot better but this ESP model is good. You can always sell it to other guitar player

I didn't know there was a Page Hamilton signature guitar on the planet <G>. He still live in LA?
The guitar itself seems adequate, with nothing particularly notable about it in any direction. ESP does some good work.

You'll want to include in your budget a fund for a pretty good initial setup. I've been getting a bit extravagant with that of late; any guitar new to me goes up to Gary Brawer in SF for a PLEK, fret superglue and setup unless it comes from Carvin. It's expensive, but it insures that all my recent guitars start out with level frets and pretty much the same action, etc. You don't have to spend that kind of money, but you'll still want to make sure you have the frets level and the action set where you like it before you wade in.
