The Ampeg R212R amp is a remake of its predecessor from the 60's, and it offers a phenomenal replica of that classic tube tone. It provides 50W of Class AB power, has 2 Ampeg Vintage 12" speakers, 2 Groove Tube 6L6s and 3 - 12AX7s(for wonderful tone), 2-channel operation, and reverb. The reverb on this amp is fantastic and can be activated by a foot pedal (not included) that controls reverb and overdrive. There are three knobs for bass, mid, and treble tone controls. Also has line out/line in connections. Ampeg's R212R Reverberocket Amp is 25"W x 19"H x 11"D and weighs 55 lbs.
Features:
* Clean, fat, round tube tone (great for blues and jazz)
* Diamond blue Vintage covering (stylish and classic)
* 50W of Class AB power...

There is a story behind every musicians gear. I was wondering what amps you've had, what you thought of them and what lead you to what you have now.
I started with a Crate amp back in the days when it was a very simple solid state amp in a wooden crate. Then I upgraded to a Roland Jazz chorus. It was the 60 watt mono version but that didn't last long. I bought a 50 watt JCM 800. Honestly I wasn't mature enough a musician for it back then. Wish I had it now. I used to turn every knob to ten and created the loudest whirlwind of noise you ever heard. I traded that one in for two Silver faced twins. Boy am I stupid. I should have kept those too but they just weren't turning me into a rock star so they had to go.
After that I got really crazy. I bought two Ampeg V4 guitar heads with two 4x12 cabs and put a Roland GP-8 in front of them. Now I could sound bad at a volume level that could warp time and space. But I still wasn't satisfied so I traded them in for a Fender Dual Showman red...

hello all
I purchased a "premier" strat copy. It's a nice guitar but the neck pickup is nearly dead so I decided to replace it. Only problem being, I accidentally ordered *two* new pickups.
So I have a Squier Classic Vibe strat pickup and a stock MIM strat pickup. I'm not much of a wiring expert so I don't really want to try them both, too many chances to screw up. There's lots of videos comparing the two different guitars' sounds but I'm not sure how much those apply since I'm just dealing with the pickups themselves.
Of course if the replacement is way better sounding than the existing pickups I'll consider putting my 2nd replacement in the middle pickup position. I'm looking for a strat tone with some bite to it, not too hot of output as the existing pickups are relatively low in output. As an example, I really like John Mayer's clean tones on a song like "vultures."
Any thoughts on which one I should install?

So I'm trying to play Hangar 18 by megadeth, and there's a sweep part in the first solo thats a D minor 7 arpeggio on 4 strings, At about 145bpm 16th notes. But I can't get past 100bpm, and I practise this 5 minutes everyday. So I'm starting to wonder if my picking is correct. All the muting's fine, but can't tell if I should hold the pick hard as possible or move my a lot wrist when I'm picking or what >.< So what do you do on your right hand when sweeping is what I'm asking here i guess.

So how long do i need to exercise scales?
I've heard that scales will help you play solos in the future, is it true?
I'm a beginner, so..?
And you could also say which scales is the best to practice?
Btw, sorry my bad english.
